New cantilevered concrete seawall for Wellington City Council.

CHP Consulting Engineers provided structural engineering design and construction monitoring services for the construction of this 2-3 storey aged care and administration block. Concrete on steel tray soffit composite upper floors are supported on structural steel framing. The south wing, containing undercroft car parking, utilises precast concrete frame construction supporting prestressed concrete rib flooring.

The construction of a bridge over the Porirua Stream at the Willowbank Park end of the pathway was the last element of the Tawa Valley Pathway (Ara Tawa) to be completed. This allows connection to Willowbank Park and out into the street network through Boscobel Lane.

1928 heritage building located at 82 Willis Street Wellington earthquake strengthening undertaken involving micropiles and steel; k brace frames to achieve an earthquake rating of 90% of current code while preserving the heritage character of the Willis Street façade.

1960’s reinforced concrete frame and wall buildings strengthened to 80% current code level, with the addition of new concrete walls on new foundations and steel ‘k’brace framing. Refurbishment of the building is being carried out in conjunction with the strengthening.
